A year long, intentional, Christian community for young adults in the Hudson Valley.
Linwood Spiritual Center, Rhinebeck, NY
We are a new, intentional Christian community for young adults in the Hudson Valley. For one year, we commit to living in dispersed community and come together every other week for meals, prayer, and spiritual formation and accompaniment. We live a community rule of life that includes worship, time for fellowship, and a charism to bear witness to the love of God in our communities.
Our roots are in the Episcopal Church but we welcome members from all walks of life and faith traditions. We are an openly LGBTQ+ affirming and anti-racist Christian community. Folks, churched or unchurched, LGBTQ+ or allied, students or those with careers, and all who feel called to life in community are welcomed and encouraged to join us in our journey.
Life in Intentional Community
Community Meetings
Our main way of being in community is our biweekly community meetings. We gather for meals, fellowship, prayer, community formation, and spiritual accompaniment.
Community Retreats & Quiet Days
Throughout the year, we join together for weekend retreats and quiet days at one of our monastic community anchors and dive deeper into the questions that shape our community life.
Our Rule of Life
Our community rule of life will be shaped by community members each year through prayer and discussion.
Community Values
These values are the basis of our life in intentional community and form the foundation of our meetings, retreats, and rule of life.
Intentional Community
At the heart of everything we do is our faith in each other as part of a larger intentional community. Throughout the whole year together, we explore what it means to create belonging and support each other on our walks through life.
Justice in Community
We explore justice through a Christian lens, learn about social and interpersonal justice issues, work toward solutions and commit to respectful dialogue.
Spiritual Accompaniment
We will explore different types of prayer and deepen our practice of listening, to ourselves, to others and to God. Spiritual guidance by mentors is part of the program.
Discernment in Community
We help each other discern major life decisions, including how to be a Christ-follower in everyday life, and plan how to extend the lessons learned in community to
the world around us.

We are an LGBTQ+ affirming and anti-racist community. Additionally, we acknowledge that our community is rooted the traditional, sacred, and unceded homelands of the Mohican, Munsee Lenape, Schaghticoke, and other indigenous peoples of the Hudson Valley, colonized by the United States. We strive to be part of a movement of decolonization, restitution, and reconciliation.
We are an ecumenical community,
affiliated with Episcopal Service Corps and funded by a grant from Young Adult and Campus Ministries of the Episcopal Church. We partner with Linwood Spiritual Center.
